“Don’t be afraid to try something new and never be discouraged because others read faster then you. Well, before I didn’t like to read. I started the reading group. Now, I can read a lot faster and I am able to store stuff in my head. The screen reader allows me to read something that interests me. I do not want to put the book down, I want to read faster, and I understand more, even if I read for a long time. Reading in a group has been very supportive. We are all able to share our views of what we are reading. Sometimes, our views are the same and it is exciting knowing you are connecting with another person.” |

"I started coming to Delta to learn how to use computers, but now I'm looking to fulfill my life long goals in education. This is possible using technology to help me read." |

"My sight began to deteriorate about 20 years ago. I felt lost and disconnected, my world began to shrink. I also lost my favorite hobby, reading. I began taking classes at Delta and found that I can take back my love for reading through Computer Aided programs in the DSPS lab." |

“I’m reading. The technology is helping me read, to learn more, and do stuff. I have read my first book, and it is good and nice, I am going to try and get some more of my friends to take it.”
